Broadway Fan Calls on Broadway League to Bargain with Casting Directors
As Broadway casting directors continue to call for a union contract and health and retirement benefits, one fan has taken his support directly to the producers association, the Broadway League. Daniel Wiener wrote to Broadway League Chairman Robert Wankel to say that if casting directors calls for fairness go unanswered, then Wiener and fans like him “will use our collective wallets to make sure that this comes to pass. If that means forgoing some shows on Broadway … so be it. There’s always Netflix.”
