Happy Thanksgiving from Teamsters Joint Council 16

Thanksgiving marks the beginning of the holiday season and is an opportunity to come together with friends and family to celebrate. Though our gatherings are smaller this year, and the holiday comes amid a troubling rise in coronavirus cases, we still have a lot to reflect on and to be thankful for.

Our union and our members have persevered through a difficult year of pandemic and racial injustice, but our strength and solidarity have helped us weather the storm. It is union members that treat the ill, deliver supplies, and keep our country running through the ongoing emergency. They have our sincere thanks.

I want to wish you and your families a wonderful Thanksgiving. As we sit down to dinner, let’s take a moment to think about the workers who make it possible, and rededicate ourselves to fighting for worker power and worker rights in the year ahead.

Fraternally,

George Miranda

President, Teamsters Joint Council 16
