Teamster Donations Arrive in Puerto Rico

A DHL plane carrying 39 pallets of Teamster donated supplies touched down in Puerto Rico today. The relief donations, including water, generators, batteries, flashlights, charcoal, and sanitary items, were requested by Teamsters Local 901, the local for Puerto Rican Teamsters.

“Teamsters leave no Teamsters behind! Thanks brothers and sisters from New York,” said Alexis Rodriguez, Secretary-Treasurer of Teamsters Local 901.

Over the past two weeks, Teamsters Joint Council 16 collected donations from Teamster local unions and members. The Joint Council purchased the supplies at a Teamster-represented Costco and drove them to the airport in Teamster local-owned trucks. At JFK Airport, they were loaded on Teamster DHL planes by members of Teamsters Local 295.

If you are a Teamster in Puerto Rico, you can pick up supplies at Teamsters Local 901.
