Teamsters Local 831 is the Uniformed Sanitationmen’s Association, “New York’s Strongest.” As sanitation workers at the New York City Department of Sanitation, Local 831 members collect trash, recycling, and organic waste from New York City homes. Every winter, Local 831 Teamsters plow the streets to keep New York moving.
